He goes before you...

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

It is the Lord who goes before you.
He goes before.
He prepares the way.
He sees where you are and what lies ahead.

He planned and purposed what lies ahead.

He will be with you.
He will guide you.
He will lead you along with way with His right hand.
He will make your steps secure.

He has set forth the steps you now take.

He will not leave you or forsake you.
He will comfort you with His rod and His staff.
His rod to correct and rescue.
His staff to direct you on the path.

He is with you as you walk along the way.

Do not fear or be dismayed.
He has prepared the way.
He knows all that lies ahead
He will never leave you.

He is a God at hand and afar off...do not fear or be dismayed.

  1. Just a note. I am so glad to read your blog daily. I found it about a month ago. I stumbled across it while looking for blogs about John Piper. I enjoy listening to his sermons and I download his radio program and sermons to my mp3 player pretty much everyday. I found I came away with so many of the same thoughts, especially about the sustaining grace of God. I actually have read so much of what you have come through and how far you have journeyed. Its refreshing to see and read how God makes so many parts of our ordinary days so relevant, brings comfort and peace during and the times of tragedy and storms, while teaching us patience in a "I want it now!" microwave world. Thank you for all the encouragement.

  2. Thank you...whoever you are! It is a blessing to know that the Lord is using what I often feel are rants or writings just too specific or too general to speak to anyone. Thank you for reading...and coming back...and commenting. And...for loving my friend, John Piper! :)

  3. Ooops, My name is Michael, I am from California. It's my first ever blog comment so I was not too sure which comment key I should use or exactly how the comment function works. Thanks again.

  4. Well Michael...welcome. Glad the blog isn't too girly for you. That is...unless you are a girl named Michael (as in Michael Learned)?? Either way...thanks again for the comment and encouragement! :)

  5. That is a funny coment. It is Michael in the male context. At first when I saw the flowery banner I thought it might be "girly" blog. However, the biblical substance, the day to day life application and theology in your blogs transends any typical feminine only appeal. Great work.

I read blogs at Pyromaniacs, Between Two Worlds, SharperIron, Solo Femininity and others. Your blog and other writers cause me to reflect on some of ordinary parts of my life, day to day events in my own family, marriage, work and relationships and how God has worked in my day or shaped my thoughts and life. I love reading how God is working in lives and shaping other believers in our culture and other cultures around the world to stand for Him and make a difference, live as light and love those around them. It inspires me to the extent that I might end up doing my own blog someday.
